About Me

Hi again! I'm Carina, a girl re-learning life at the age of 39. Recently divorced with no kids and the first time truly on my own in 20 years. This 2019 year has not been my most stellar performance. I have already mentioned the divorce, I am also currently in search of the next step in my career forced by my company deciding they were going a different direction and I was not joining them on the journey, and in self reflection seeing that I need to work on my overall health.

Where does Gracie come into this? I knew I would need a co-pilot through this new journey of mine. She has been an incredibly wonderful distraction from hard conversations, tearful moments, and times where I just needed some quite reprieve where I felt safe. We are learning together. Gracie is now training to be a pet therapy dog so we can visit seniors in our community and children in the hospital that would benefit from a bit of extra love and attention. She is 5 months old and we are just finishing our first round of successful training! All thanks to Cooper at Petco this little girl is on her way to be an awesome pet therapy dog!
