Quarantine...

So, we are coming to a close on our first week of quarantine... I am very grateful for the simple things. Gracie and I have taken long walks (safely and practicing social distancing), cuddles on the couch and found creative ways of playing fetch without being outside, at the beach or at a dog park. Gracie has also been practicing all of her training even more since we are home and she is loving the accompanying treats. :)

I have had the opportunity to give back to the community this week. Delivering meals to our home bound seniors for Beaches Community Kitchen and hosting a fundraiser sending care packages to our hospital teams that are diligently working to bring this virus to an end. It is a little odd to me to not be in a building myself right now, so finding other ways to give back to the community has been a great outlet to still help others.

I am very grateful for my Arbonne business right now as well. People are staying home but are also trying to stay healthy and reaching out to gather more information about Arbonne. Since I can host Virtual Happy Hours, it has been a great opportunity to virtually join with people while also discussing incredibly nutrition options with them to better their health and their families health. Arbonne also helped by offering nutritious protein rich and hydration options to add to the care packages that went to the hospitals with the entire focus being on giving them the sustainability and energy they need while keeping their immune systems in tact. So proud to be part of this company.

This week my event committee also made a difficult decision to postpone our Singer/Songwriter Showcase Fundraiser for Dial-A-Ride. It saddens me that we had to make this decision but I am looking at this as an opportunity to gain more sponsors to support an incredible organization that offers the transportation services needed by our seniors and disabled community in the beaches area to keep their independence and provide them with necessary transportation. My heart truly goes out to all non-profits right now. This virus has had such a hard effect on them with fundraising and donor efforts that keep these non-profit organizations thriving and open. There are so many people that have felt the impacts of this pandemic: restaurants, small businesses, large businesses, the travel and hospitality industries along with healthcare and all of the students that are home for the rest of this month with parents that are also home, working, teaching, cooking, cleaning and keeping their sanity.

So as I sit here on my patio watching Gracie play with her toys, feeling the breeze of this beautiful Sunday evening, I am grateful. Grateful for my little pup, my Dance Trance family that has found a way to keep us dancing together through Facebook, my family and friends that I have stayed connected with and all of the people working in our hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and doctors offices for braving this virus to care for those that are in the greatest of need.

I hope everyone that is reading this is staying safe, staying home and staying well! Coronavirus, it's time to
